just what we needed
Customer Rating:

So, in reading some of these reviews, a number of people seem to want training pants to do what diapers do - hold it all in. If you aren't ready for some mess, you would do well to avoid straight-up cotton training pants like these. These are nice trainers. They are soft and absorbent (although a full bladder soaking will leak out...that can be an important learning experience for some kids). They fit nicely and have comfortable, ample leg openings. They seem to be true to size. I was a little concerned after researching that if I ordered my son's size, they would be too small as I had been reading that a lot of other brands run small. I ordered xx large for 44-49lbs. My son is a tall solidly built 2.5 at 38 lbs. The size I ordered are fairly big, so to do it again, I would order x large - but this size works fine. The price is excellent. At first I started looking at Bummies and Imse Vimse trainers because we used those brands for diapers and many of them have fun patterns. They are relatively expensive at $14 each or so, but there were some poor reviews on fit, so I kept looking. In addition, many of them have a protective outside barrier, which I didn't want. My son likes them. His Pull Ups really bother him - they are scratchy and he fusses with them, sometimes causing them to leak so we decided it was time to try something else, since his Pull Ups don't seem to bother him enough to make him use the potty full time! Sigh. So given that my husband and I don't mind the potential for mess and I like the softness and fit and the price, and Pull Ups are over, I recommend these trainers.
